HEROIC KIDS PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date: September 7, 2026

At Heroic Kids, we believe children deserve to learn, play, and grow without having their personal information exploited.

That’s why we have made a simple promise:

WE WILL NEVER SELL OR SHARE YOUR CHILD’S PERSONAL INFORMATION.

We take children’s privacy seriously. Heroic Kids is designed with privacy and child safety at its core, and we strictly adhere to applicable requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the FTC’s Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the steps we take to protect children and families who use Heroic Kids.

1. WHO WE ARE
Heroic Kids is a child-safety education platform designed to help children develop practical skills for recognizing uncomfortable situations, making safer choices, setting boundaries, protecting their privacy, seeking help, and communicating with trusted adults.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Heroic Kids,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the company operating Heroic Kids and the Heroic Kids website, application, and related services.

2. OUR PROMISE TO CHILDREN AND PARENTS
We believe privacy is part of safety.

Accordingly:

  • We will never sell a child’s personal information.

  • We will never use a child’s personal information for targeted advertising.

  • We will never share a child’s personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

  • We will never make a child’s personal information publicly available.

  • We will never require a child to provide more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in Heroic Kids.

  • We do not ask children to tell us about experiences of abuse, grooming, exploitation, bullying, or other traumatic experiences in order to use the game.

  • We minimize the personal information we collect from children.

  • We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect children's information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

  • We retain children's personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

  • Parents and guardians have rights regarding their child's personal information, including the ability to request access to or deletion of that information.

Our goal is simple: children should come to Heroic Kids to learn safety skills—not to become a source of data.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We design Heroic Kids to collect as little personal information from children as reasonably possible.

Depending on how a family uses Heroic Kids, we may collect information such as:

Information provided by parents or caregivers

  • Parent or caregiver name

  • Parent or caregiver email address

  • Account login information

  • Payment or subscription information, when applicable

  • Information necessary to manage a child's account

  • Communications between the parent/caregiver and Heroic Kids

Information associated with a child's use of Heroic Kids

  • Child’s first name

  • Child’s age and/or their grade in school

  • Game progress

  • Completion of activities or scenarios

  • Responses to game activities

  • Achievement or progress information

  • Basic usage information necessary to operate and improve the service

We seek to avoid collecting information that directly identifies a child whenever it is not necessary.

Where practical, information used for product improvement, research, reporting, or evaluation will be de-identified or aggregated so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual child.

4. INFORMATION WE DO NOT WANT CHILDREN TO PROVIDE
Heroic Kids is designed around teaching children safety skills—not collecting their personal stories.

Children should not be asked to provide information such as:

  • Their home address

  • Their exact location

  • Their school address

  • Their phone number

  • Their passwords

  • Their Social Security number

  • Financial information

  • Detailed information about abuse or victimization

  • Other sensitive personal information that is not reasonably necessary to participate in Heroic Kids

If a child voluntarily provides information that we did not intend to collect, we will take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law and our data-retention practices.

5. PARENTAL CONSENT
Heroic Kids goes above and beyond COPPA requirements, extending it to children of all ages..

When COPPA requires verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from a child, we will obtain that consent before collecting, using, or disclosing the child's personal information, except where an applicable COPPA exception permits otherwise.

We will provide parents with clear information about:

  • What information we intend to collect;

  • How that information will be used;

  • Whether and how it may be disclosed;

  • The parent's rights regarding the child's information; and

  • How the parent can provide, withdraw, or manage consent.

We do not condition a child's participation in Heroic Kids on providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the activity.

6. WE DO NOT SELL CHILDREN’S INFORMATION
We do not sell children's personal information. Period.

We also do not use children's personal information for behavioral or targeted advertising.

Heroic Kids is not designed to monetize children by collecting information about them and selling that information to advertisers, marketers, data brokers, or other companies.

7. SHARING INFORMATION WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS
We may use carefully selected service providers to help us operate Heroic Kids—for example, companies that provide secure hosting, technical infrastructure, payment processing, customer support, security, or other services necessary to operate the platform.

When a service provider handles information on our behalf, we require appropriate contractual and technical safeguards designed to protect that information.

Service providers may use information only for purposes necessary to provide services to Heroic Kids and are not authorized to sell children's personal information or use it for their own advertising or unrelated purposes.

We do not share children's personal information with third parties for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, or other commercial purposes unrelated to providing Heroic Kids.

8. PARENTAL ACCESS, REVIEW, AND DELETION RIGHTS
Parents and legal guardians have important rights regarding their child's information.

  • Subject to applicable law, a parent or guardian may request to:

  • Review the personal information we have collected from their child;

  • Request deletion of their child's personal information;

  • Refuse or withdraw permission for further collection or use of their child's personal information; and

  • Ask questions about how their child's information is collected, used, or protected.

To make a request, contact us at:
8 The Green, Suite A, Dover DE 19901

We may take reasonable steps to verify that the person making the request is the child's parent or legal guardian before providing access to or deleting information.

9. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
We believe that keeping children's information forever is neither necessary nor appropriate.

We retain personal information collected from children only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the specific purpose for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect the security and integrity of our services.

When information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it.

We do not retain children's personal information indefinitely simply because we might find it useful in the future.

10. DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Because no internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, we cannot promise absolute security. However, protecting children's information is a fundamental responsibility of Heroic Kids, and we continually evaluate and improve our security practices.

11. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Heroic Kids is designed specifically with children's privacy in mind.

We do not encourage children to publicly share personal information.

We do not operate Heroic Kids as a social network where children create public profiles, communicate publicly with strangers, or share personal information with other users.

Our child-facing experiences are designed to help children develop Safety Literacy—the knowledge and skills they need to recognize uncomfortable situations, make safer choices, protect their boundaries, protect their privacy, and seek help from trusted adults.

12. PARENT AND CAREGIVER INFORMATION
When parents or caregivers use Heroic Kids, we may collect information necessary to create and manage their account, process purchases or subscriptions, provide customer support, communicate with them about their account, and provide access to parent resources.

Parent information is handled separately from children's information whenever reasonably possible.

We may use parent contact information to send important service-related communications, including information about accounts, purchases, security, privacy, and changes to the service.

We will not use a child's information to send the child targeted advertising.

13. COOKIES AND TECHNOLOGIES
Heroic Kids may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, or similar technologies to operate, secure, and improve our website and services.

We will not knowingly use tracking technologies to collect children's personal information for behavioral advertising or other purposes prohibited by COPPA.

Where third-party technologies are used, we evaluate them with children's privacy and applicable legal requirements in mind.

14. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
Heroic Kids may occasionally provide links to resources or services operated by third parties.

Those third-party websites and services have their own privacy policies and practices. We encourage parents and caregivers to review those policies before providing information to a third party.

We do not permit third parties to use children's personal information obtained through Heroic Kids for their own advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.

15. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Heroic Kids evolves, laws and regulations change, or our privacy and security practices improve.

If we make a material change to the way we collect, use, or disclose children's personal information, we will provide parents with notice as required by applicable law and, when required, obtain additional parental consent.

The effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was most recently updated.

16. CONTACT US
We want parents to feel comfortable asking questions about privacy.

17. OUR COMMITMENT
At Heroic Kids, we believe that protecting children means more than teaching them what to do when something feels wrong.

It means protecting them while they learn.

Your child's information is not our product.

We are building Heroic Kids to give children something far more valuable than another app:

The knowledge, confidence, and skills to help keep themselves safe.

And we believe their privacy should be protected every step of the way.
